Has your pup had a pupcake at one of our events? These treats are always a hit and here is our recipe!
Ingredients:
- 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/8 c. oatmeal,
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/4 c. plain yogurt
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/8 c. vegetable oil
- 1 T. honey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. grated cheese
- Frosting: 8 oz of low fat cream cheese, 1 T. plain yogurt, 1 T. honey
- Toppers: mini Milk-Bones
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix whole wheat flour, oatmeal, baking powder, baking soda, plain yogurt, water, vegetable oil,honey, egg, and grated cheese.
- Pour or spoon the batter into the liners. Fill only halfway to avoid spilling over the sides.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
- Mix 8 oz of lowfat cream cheese (softened), 1 T. plain yogurt, 1 T. honey.
- Frost pupcakes with a knife, frosting gun, or piping bag. Ice frosting if it gets too thin to frost.
- Top each pupcake with a mini Milk-Bone
* Makes about 8 pupcakes (large pupcake = 3 mini pupcakes)
