It’s November and that means Thanksgiving is right around the corner!
One of the things I enjoy doing at the holidays is trying a new recipe, while still honoring the traditional dishes. Many of my studio moms talk about the fun they have baking with their child. It is truly fun for all!
One very simple, but adorable, Thanksgiving treat is Mini Brownie Turkeys. Not only do they have a festive appearance, but are a great alternative to pie for your little ones.
You can make the brownies of your liking, or even use store bought ones if you are in a time crunch. To decorate a dozen mini brownies, you need chocolate frosting, 12 red M&Ms, 60 pieces of candy corn, and 24 candy eyeballs.
To create the turkey’s head, place a dollop of chocolate frosting near the bottom half of each brownie. If interested, you could use a piping bag to distribute the frosting. Embed the two candy eyes and the M&M into the frosting. Spread the frosting, or pipe it, to form five lines radiating from the turkey’s head across the remaining half of the brownie. Adhere a piece of candy corn to each line to create five turkey feathers.
